With an uproar of covid cases rising again in India at a record rate (more than 1.5L cases per day for past 5days), the students are the one’s distressed the most. The 10th and 12th board exams are scheduled from May 4 to June 14, 2021. But keeping the current prevailing situation of the corona virus in India the exams are more likely to be postponed or cancelled, which is exactly what the students and their parents are willing & hoping for.
#CancelBoardExams2021 and #CancelBoards2021 is already in trend for more than a week now, on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Around 1lakh students have filed online petitions for postponing the exams due to the current situation.
According to the sources as of now they’re are no plans to cancel the board exams and there were several discussions on postponing the board exams 2021. Opposition Leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi have already requested for postponing the exams. Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal said “Right now the best would be to postpone the exams, until the situation improves as exam centre can become covid hotspots under the current situation”.
Maharashtra Board, MP Board have already postponed its exam and have requested the same from CBSE, ICSE etc.
While the yesterday’s meet between CBSE and the Ministry of education remained indecisive. It remains to be seen what the final decision would be in the coming days
