In today’s meeting of with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ministry of education has decided to postpone the class 12 exams and cancel the class 10 board exams. The situation for class 12 exams will be reviewed on June 1, 2021 and dates will be announced further based upon that.
For Class 10 the result will be based upon an “objective criterion” to be developed by the Board. Any student who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. The same decision was taken by CBSE last year too.
Earlier this week, the Ministry of Education and CBSE held a meeting which went indecisive. Today’s meeting was successful in uniformly take a decision amid the rising corona cases in the country as the several states boards including MP, Maharashtra etc. already declared the cancellation of their respective state board exams for both 10th and 12th standard.
Now the class 12th students will be notified at least 15 days in advance of the new examination schedule which will depend upon the review to be done on June 1, 2021 by the authorities.
