WhatsApp sues Indian govt. Says new policy rules means, end of privacy in India.

WhatsApp has filed an official complaint against the PM Modi-led Central government in order to block the new policy rules coming into effect from Wednesday 26 April, citing it will end privacy of the users in India.

The complaint filed in the Delhi High court seeks to declare one of the rule under the new policy as a voilation to privacy rights of the Indian constitution as it demands social media companies “to identify the first originators of the information” whenever the government demands.

WhatsApp chats are end to end encrypted and law demands to unmask people flagged as wrong doings by the central government which will result in breaking the encryption of receiver and originators as well which goes against the Laws says WhatsApp.
