Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police arrested veteran actor Dalip Tahil’s son Dhruv Tahil in connection to a drug case.
“He has been arrested under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act and is presently been kept at Bandra crime branch. He will be produced in court tomorrow” said AMC’s DCP Datta.
According to reporst, the police had arrested drug peddler Muzammil AR Shaikh on April 20 ans confiscated 35 gms Mephedrone from him. On further investigation and extracting his cell phone records and WhatsApp chats, they found that Dhruv Tahil had ordered drugs from Shaikh several times.
Aslo, Dhruv Tahil had also repeatedly (around 6 times) transferred money in Shaikh’s account through his account for buying drugs. Dhruv was in touch with Shaikh from March 2019 till now and has now been arrested after his involvement in the case is clear, the police said.
The Police and ANC are investigating the case further.
