Pune Police raids a dance party at a farmhouse amid lockdown. 13 booked.

In Pune, the Rajgad police has booked 13 people (including six women) after a raid was conducted on a farmhouse hosting a dance party amid lockdown. All 13 people have been booked under the charges of violating the Covid-19 restrictions by partying at a farmhouse in Kelwade (near Pune-Bengaluru highway) on Saturday.

Around 2am on Saturday, Pune police got the tip about a party happening al Kelwade farmhouse. A police team was sent to the spot where they found loud music was blazing with bright lights and around 13 young men and women were partying.

“The youths, in their 20s and 30s, were taken into custody and a case was registered against them for violating the Covid-19 regulations and for an unlawful assembly,” said the DSP, Dhanajay Patil.

This was the 4th similar incident over the past few days. Earlier, the police had busted parties amid lockdown at various farmhouses including areas nearby Khadakwasala dam backwaters and near Donje at the foothills of the Sinhagad fort.
