Pakistan’s foreign minister Qureshi extends support to India amid Covid surge.

Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday extended his support for the people of India amid the record breaking surge of Covid cases & deaths. He also said Covid crisis is a reminder that humanitarian issues requires responses beyond political considerations. He took twitter to express his support.

Pakistan continues to work with the SAARC countries to foster cooperation to tackle the pandemic, he said.

India recored a record high of 3,46,786 coronavirus cases pushing the total tally to 1,66,10,481, which is 2nd only to USA, and tally of active cases crossed the 25-lakh mark. The death tally is at a total 1,89,544 with a record high of 2,624 deaths in a single day since the start of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Pakistan recorded 147 deaths in last 24hours, highest since last year and 5908 positive cases were reported according to the Pakistan’s health ministry.
