NCB arrests 2, for growing Ganja at home in Maharashtra.

NCB – narcotics control bureau arrested two people including a marine biologist for illegally growing Ganja (cannabis) at their flat in Maharashtra’s Dombivli. The duo used to sell it to the high-profile customers. NCB seized around 1kg of Ganja which costs around 80lakhs.

The two, named Arshad Khatri and Javed Jahangir Shaikh were arrested from Yari road, andheri on Wednesday and NCB is on a lookout for Rehan Khan, the main financer of the group; who is a saudi-based NRI.

According to the reports the two had their setup at a flat owned by Rehan, at palava city and had been active for around 6-8months which foiled the NCB officials. “During this time the turn-over expected must’ve been in crores. Khatri is an expert in cultivation and Javed used to assist & manage the distribution” reported an official.

Officials also said these hydroponic-weed (Ganja) is very popular among the high-profile parties and Javed used to sell it for 8000/gm to numeroua peddler all over Mumbai and Pune. They used to work in cash or crypto currencies such as bitcoin etc. through WhatsApp and Facebook groups.

Rehan Khan’s name earlier popped-up in the highly talked about Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case which is still under investigation. The NCB got a tip-off about certain peddlers and upon their rrest several names such as Sahil Shah alias Flacko ( another constant name to be popped up under Sushant’s case), Rehan Khan, Siddhant Amin etc came up after further investigations led by the team of NCB’s Sameer Wankhede.
