Delhi Unlock to start from Monday, May 31.

After a month long lockdown due to the Covid crisis with postivity rate soaring to 35% and positive cases per day soaring close to 30,000 at its peak in the nation’s capital, Delhi is now unlocking from May 31 onwards.

Delhi has been witnessing a constant decline in daily cases and the positivity rate is now below 2%, which is considered safe by the WHO guidelines.

After a meeting with L-G Anil Baijal, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced the unlock procedure is about to begin from Monday, May 31 with relaxation to be given to the businesses.

“…..Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to open factories and allow construction activities for one week from Monday,. Aslo, the government will continue the unlock process every week based on the opinion of experts and the public'” said Arvind Kejriwal in his official statement.

“If the cases starts rising again we will have to stop the unlock procedure” added Kejriwal.
