Just a few hours after 2 players of KKR’s squad tested positive for Covid-19, CSK has announced their bowling coach L Balaji and CSK’s CEO Kasi Vishwanathan have tested positive for Covid-19 in Monday. Along with them CSK’s bus cleaner has also contracted the deadly virus.
None of the players have tested positive as of yet, and are undergoing daily testing for Covid-19 in accordance with the bio-secure protocols.
This is the second time CSK’s squad has been hit by the Covid-19 virus. Laste year in 2020 two of the CSK’s players, Deepak Chahar & Ruturaj Gaikwad along with 6 other staff members were tested covid positive just weeks before IPL 2020 began.
Now, according to the IPL guidelines players who tests positive can return to the bubble after 10dyas of isolation and 2 negative tests after that to join the team back.
Amid this #CancelIPL is trending on twitter with fans being concerned about the safety of the players and staff.
