According to West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee around 1 crore people got affected and over 3 lakh houses got destroyed due to the natural disaster in West Bengal after Cyclone “Yaas” hit the eastern coast of India, today.
As of yet, due to the damage caused a person lost his life even after being rescued and 2 others lost their lives after being electrocuted due to the storm cause by the cyclone in West Bengal’s hooghly. Bengal’s CM Mamata Banerjee also announced a ₹10 crore relief were sent to the affected areas.
The eastern coast today witnessed heavy rainfall and storms due to the weakend Cyclone Yaas which cause severe cyclonic storms in different part of Odisha and West Bengal. Thia further caused strong winds, floods, trees uprooted and heavy rainfall in many areas which further created various problems throughout the eastern coast.
